By the end of the first season Beth/Rio was unquestionably the juggernaut pairing in this fandom.
In season 2, Brio became a canon pairing but they were not in a romantic or committed relationship, with Beth choosing her family over Rio. Many fans were unhappy with this. A small minority of Brio fans were accused of abusing the actor's wife on Twitter, following her appearance in a Good Girls episode, as an unnamed possible love interest for Rio.[1]
