We spoke all night in tongues is an Explicit Clint/Natasha Het one-shot fic in The Avengers Movieverse fandom. It was written by noctuua in 2013 and is well regarded by its readers.
The fic's title We spoke all night in tongues comes from the quote, "we spoke all night in tongues, in fingertips, in teeth," by Robert Hass of Meditation at Lagunitas fame.
Cool fingers run between his skin and the band of his sweatpants leaving goosebumps in their wake, and a shiver rattles up Clint's spine. In celebration of Jeremy Renner's birthday.[1]
We spoke all night in tongues's premise is that Natasha Romanova and Clint Barton have birthday sex on Clint's birthday. Since Clint has no canonical birthday, Jeremy Renner's was chosen as the day, and the fic itself was created in celebration of him and his work in the Avengers films. The fic went live a day later than his actual birthday of January 7th, but it was close enough.
