Batman Beyond is the animated series focusing on a teenaged new Batman in a futuristic Gotham City under the tutelage of an elderly Bruce Wayne. Batman Beyond is set in the chronological future of the DC animated universe (despite being released before Static Shock, Justice League, and Justice League Unlimited), and serves as a continuance of both Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures.

Various comics with the title Batman Beyond has appeared every year since 2010, mainly featuring Terry McGinnis as Batman, however in the 2015-2016 series it featured Tim Drake as Batman.

Fueled by remorse and vengeance, a high schooler named Terry McGinnis revives the role of Batman. Under supervision of an elderly Bruce Wayne, he fights crime in a harsh futuristic Gotham.
