This is a timeline of LOONA's fandom. It also includes content and events post-LOONA such as Loosemble and ARTMS.
2016
- September 25: The first tweet with the words "Stan LOONA" is made by lgbtluda.[1]
- October 4: Heejin's solo "ViViD". This is the first music video and album from LOONA.
2017
- 2017: Well-known Orbit (BNF) barttheworld goes missing.
- Late 2017: Team Subbits, an Korean-to-English translation group is established.
2018
- January 31: RuPaul's Drag Race contestant Kim Chi tweeted, "Good morning stan Loona."
- May 9: The first instalment of "Mapping the LOONAverse" by caskerbox is released.
- May 29: In an press release, BlockBerry Creative describes Go Won's voice as "Crunchy", turning into a fandom meme.
- July 10: The fandom name Orbit is announced, replacing the previously used "LOONATIC".
- August 19: LOONA officially debuts as a full-group with the title track "Hi High"
2019
- January 22: Orrery creates LOOΠΔrium, a place for collaborative LOONAVERSE fan theories.
- February 7: barttheworld returns, explaining his absence and debunking rumours that he became a BlockBerry Creative employee.
- February 22: The Lesbian Korean Billionaires tweet about Chuu/Yves goes viral.
- April 22: ZSunder releases a fan-made instrumental for "BURN".
- May 11: LOONA's first fanzine <12X12> is released in South Korea.
- September 3: The collaborative fan album "orbitverse" is released.
- October 4: The fan-made documentary The Avengers of Kpop: A Story of LOONA is released.
- October 30: caskerbox closes their Twitter account.
2020
- March 21: The fan album [moon&me] was released. This is JenOrbit's final release before leaving the fandom.
- August: The fanzine WANDERLOONA opens for pre-orders, closing on the 29th.
- September 13: Chuu fansite locomotion closes.
2021
- January 14: ViVi goes viral on TikTok, starting the dance trend known as the ViVi Trend.
- July 30: "High Bong" is announced as the official name for the LOONA Lightstick before being removed hours later.
2022
- August 26: Chuu goes viral across Brazilian universities in a trend known as 'Have You Seen This Woman?'. This meme involved printing and annotating wanted posters with Chuu's photo.
- November 24: Chuu was officially “expelled” from LOONA.
- November 28: All members of LOONA, besides HyunJin and ViVi filed for injunctions to suspend their exclusive contracts with BlockBerryCreative.
- December 4: LOONA Union is established as a 'joint response team' for domestic and foreign fanbases.
- December 8: LOONA Boycott officially begins.
2023
- June 16: All twelve members win their lawsuit and leave BlockBerry Creative. This is nicknamed 'Loona Independence Day' by fans.[2]
- June 19: LOONA Union announces official end of the boycott and advised fans to continue or discontinue boycotting on their own terms.
- September 15: Loosemble officially debuts with the title track "Sensitive"
- October 25: OURII is announced as ARTMS official fandom name after a Gravity fan vote.[3]
- December 22: ARTMS announced their official lightstick, opening for sale on the 27th.
2024
- February 11: LOONA The Wiki was created on Miraheze.
- May 23: ARTMS announced an official fanclub kit, including tarot cards and more.
- May 29: Yves re-debuts as a soloist with the title track "LOOP"
- May 31: ARTMS debuts with the album "<Dall>" and title track "Virtual Angel". The music video garnered controversy due to it's flashing scenes that resulted in discomfort for fans with photosensitivity or epilepsy.
