Go Won (고원) is a member of the K-Pop girl group Loossemble. She was also a member of LOONA and it's sub-unit yyxy. She was the eleventh member revealed as part of LOONA.

Her official color is Eden Green, her animal is a butterfly, and her fruit is a pineapple. She debuted with the solo song "One and Only".

Relationship with Fandom

Go Won uses the chatting application Fromm to communicate with fans. Under LOONA, she used the application Fab, before moving to Fromm.

The "meme queen" of LOONA. There are numerous memes involving Go Won. Some have even gone viral outside of K-Pop.

Crunchy

This is a fandom in-joke. Go Won's voice has often been described by fans as being "crunchy". This originated from an official description written by Blockberry Creative in 2018 for their song "one-way":

"one way" is a sneak preview for what is to come, through the emotional expressions in the voices of LOONA/yyxy. Yves opens with a dry voice as if she is standing alone in the silent desert, Chuu fills up the space with her voice full of moisture. Go Won's crunchy voice and Olivia Hye's voice with the duality of day and night, gather to complete one music

This then sparked a meme across the fandom. Fans will often refer to her as being "crunchy", the "crunchiest member", "crunchy queen" and any other alternatives.

Godmother of X Æ A-Xii

Grimes, singer and former girlfriend to Elon Musk, is a fan of LOONA. In 2018, she added Yves's solo song "new" to her playlist and made a tweet calling the music "incredible art". This got Blockberry Creative's attention. They approached her for an collaboration and shortly after LOONA yyxy released "love4eva (feat. Grimes)" in May 2018, with Grimes voicing the intro. Go Won was one of the members featured in this collaboration.

In 2020, an Orbit made a comment on Grimes's Instagram:

It is believed that Grimes was making a joke and Go Won was not actually the godmother for Elon Musk's child. However, it went viral soon after, with many news sites reporting that Go Won was X Æ A-Xii's godmother. This sparked numerous memes.

Irish

In 2024, Go Won dyed her hair red for a Loosemble comeback. Orbits began circulating misinformation that Go Won was the first Irish K-Pop idol with natural red hair, and her given name is "Park Gowon O'Dwyer". It originated from a tweet posted by @aesforloona:

At first she tried to hide her ginger hair by dyeing it to fit the KBS but now thanks to her group she felt confident to show it. Watch her interview about multiculturality in the industry here: [link to Girls Night]

To some surprise, many fans believed it. This sparked a dozen memes and tweets by the fandom, attempting to further convince fans that Go Won was actually Irish.

Strawberry Shortcake

A tweet by @hallyudotcom, announcing Go Won in the role of Strawberry Shortcake. This was based on a news article by allkpop (since deleted). The news was fake, and was incorrectly reported, due to fan jokes

On the same day as the viral Irish tweet, a different fan made a tweet declaring that Go Won had been cast as the lead role in the live action Strawberry Shortcake film, directed and written by Greta Gertwig. It was fake. However, the tweet went viral with many K-Pop news sites reporting it as the truth.

This led many fans to be unsure if it was real or not:

Yall, in all seriousness, the news about Gowon being cast as strawberry shortcake, is it real or is it a meme started by Orbits? I can’t tell what’s real and what’s not anymore

I'm loving that Gowon is now an Irish actress casted to star as the titular and iconic character that is Strawberry Shortcake! Hoping the other Loobles are casted as part of her patch mates!

This went viral on the same day as a number of different tweets about Loosemble, including Loosemble being part of an upcoming Fortnite release, ViVi being cast in One Piece, and Go Won being Irish. All of which were lies and misinformation spread by the fandom as a method of promotion.

Orbits were known to make viral tweets and blatant lies as a form of promotion for the group (for example, see Stan LOONA), so many saw Strawberry Shortcake Go Won as an example of bringing the fandom back to their roots:

Next news story... Go Won is Irish... But it's kind of exciting that orbits are back in the business of lying about the members, it's always been kind of a fun hallmark and convention of the fan base... it's good marketing, as well. it's all in good fun

I don’t care what anyone has to say, whether we come off as "annoying" or whatever, but Orbits lying again to promote LOONA at every stop has been fun these past few days. And lowkey probably effective. We needed that energy back.

Orbits are dedicated and passionate, but we're not a fandom big enough to support four different acts on our own. And although the name LOONA certainly rings a bell in everybody's mind, not everybody is aware that now every member is under a new company and doing new things

The meme also sparked a number of fanworks, mostly fanart depicting Go Won as Strawberry Shortcake.

It also got noticed and a shoutout from the official social media accounts for Strawberry Shortcake. They posted an TikTok titled "Loosemble as Strawberry Shortcake characters" with the following caption:
