The Quidditch Pitch was an archive for Harry Potter fanart, fanfiction, and forums-based discussions.

It was created October 31, 2005. [1]

In October 2016, it was announced that TQP FICTION would be moving to the Archive of Our Own as an Open Doors Project.[2] The import was completed in May 2017.

Content on the site other than fiction can only be reached by the Wayback Machine or with archived links.

History

"The Quidditch Pitch was conceived as an all-pairing, all-pairing Harry Potter fanfiction site. We launched on October 31, 2005 with about 30 authors and 40 members. The site has grown tremendously in the two years since launch. We've added additional sites, many members and nearly 300 authors since then. The Captains are dedicated to bringing together a community of Harry Potter fans through fiction, contests, podcasts, art galleries and discussions about the world of J.K. Rowling."[1]

The Quidditch Pitch Interview Series

The site conducted fifty-five fan interviews between 2005 and 2008. Seven fans were interviewed twice.
