How do people feel about adding the Offline Spaces category to the convention template?--æthel 04:40, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

I know very little about cons, but aren't there occasionally online ones? --MegR 10:32, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
yes, there are a couple of examples: Out.of.con.txt and Rat Jam use the con template and are online events. I suppose it is a situation like the "print media" cat in the zine template, generally you think of a print thing with zine, but there are e-zines too that call themselves "zine".--RatCreature 11:02, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
How about a separate template for online cons? That way, offline cons can get the offline cat automatically, and online cons won't get it. And we wouldn't need the "location" or "organization" fields for online cons, right?--æthel 20:39, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Should there be a Key section, like there is in Template:ConventionScienceFiction? DefinitelyNotScott (talk) 16:23, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

That seems like a good idea -- Kingstoken (talk) 17:24, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

Add a category disambiguation field

I'd like to add a "Category=" field so that editors can specify if an article using this template should belong in a subcategory of Category:Conventions rather than the parent category. An example of how to do this can be found at Template:Fanfiction. Quaelegit (talk) 00:37, 31 May 2022 (UTC)

Category Fix?

I just noticed that for some reason this template doesn't appear anywhere in the infobox categories, either Category: Infoboxes or Category:Fan event infoboxes. Would someone be able to check that, since the template is locked to edits? ThanksRossi (talk) 16:59, 14 June 2024 (UTC)

Added the template to both of the categories mentioned above. --Auntags (talk) 22:38, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
