Thanks for setting up this page.

Unfortunately, Jan herself is trying to become an editor as she wants to set up her own page. She is unhappy because some of this information is incorrect.

I've removed the content and added a stub template, but if Jan wants the history removed, let me know and I'll request it from the Gardeners. I had been out in the sun all day yesterday so I wasn't thinking clearly about what was needed! Rossi (talk) 13:36, 22 August 2024 (UTC)

Fanlore volunteers appreciate that Jan is planning to make changes to this page, but it's important to remember that Fanlore is a shared, collaborative space. We do not delete articles or remove large amounts of text without discussion and consensus. We require a two week discussion period before any deletion (See Deletion Policy) and it is never appropriate to remove all the text from an article, as that could be viewed as an attempt to circumvent proper procedure. (See also Hostile Editing Policy)

As a result, I will be restoring the content that was previously on this page. I understand that decisions like this can be more contentious when they relate to articles on fans, but I would encourage people to edit the article to address Jan's concerns. All editors are encouraged to contribute to articles and to correct factual errors that may exist on those pages.

If Jan's concern relates to identity protection, I'd recommend contacting the Fanlore Committee via the contact form, choosing identity protection from the drop down menu. She might have already done this, as Fanlore Gardeners don't have sight of that inbox and don't assist with ID Protection requests. --Auntags (talk) 09:24, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
