Talk:Clark Kent/Lex Luthor (Smallville)

It's so awesome to see this page getting some love!! I cut a little from the intro because I think it's a bit heavy on the canon atm - I'll try and add some fic examples tomorrow too, if someone else doesn't get to it first. This will be an excellent excuse to read many old stories <3. --MegR 23:20, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

I moved the page back to Clark/Lex (aca Clex) because that's was what Smallville fandom was using as a pairing designation. Some fandoms used only the last name, some only the first, and part of recording fannish history is not being prescriptive about it when the fandom has a consensus on how something is called. Also, it would make it easier to make a general Clark Kent/Lex Luthor page for the pairing in the comics, if we ever need to. --Doro (talk) 07:28, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Separation

I was wondering if we should start a separate page for Clark Kent/Lex Luthor, currently that redirects here, but this page is almost exclusively about Smallville. Although, Clark/Lex is a huge ship in Smallville fandom, it does also exist in other Superman interpretations and adaptations -- Kingstoken (talk) 19:36, 31 March 2019 (UTC)

+1 for separating the pages and keeping Clark/Lex as the Smallville page and making Clark Kent/Lex Luthor a more general page for other incarnations of the pairing. The majority of the pages linking here mean the Smallville pairing. --Doro (talk) 00:37, 20 September 2021 (UTC)

Header Image

Pinky G Rocket suggested on the FAN page that this should have a header image, and I agree! However, I know *nothing* about this show vs. broader Superman cultural lore, so I'm going to share a few artpieces I've dug up and ask for feedback on which is a good "intro image" that might server to illustrate the article as a whole. EDIT: OH WAIT THERE'S ALREADY AN IMAGE GALLERY... let's just use one of those, probably?. Oh well, i dug up this art so here have links. Maybe we can add it to the page, maybe not:

Brilliant! We can add these examples to the page. When you say header image, do you mean an image for the front page if/when this page is featured? or an image for the infobox? I don't really feel that ship pages need an infobox image. --Auntags (talk) 20:50, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
I was thinking both, b/c i usually do like to put an image in the infobox if i find one that I think showcases the topic well. I don't mind leaving it off though, whatever the collection of editors working on this page prefers. -- Quaelegit (talk) 04:19, 3 May 2023 (UTC)

Adding disambiguation

As part of the nomination process for Featured Article one editor mentioned that it might be a good idea to add a disambiguation to the title, such as "Clark/Lex (Smallville)", thoughts? -- Kingstoken (talk) 22:01, 22 May 2023 (UTC)

I agree -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 14:16, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

I think adding disambiguation to the title would be helpful -- JoeyW (talk) 04:09, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
