Suaine is a fanwriter and fanartist.
While presently most active in Merlin fandom, Suaine has dipped into a variety of fandoms. Buffy was her first English speaking fandom, where she was a member of the One Good Day Buffy/Spike mailing list. She went from X-Files to Farscape, then started an interest in slash with Harry Potter. She then got into Yuletide[1] and smaller fandoms (such as the movie Knockaround Guys, Boondock Saints and X-Men). Her next known fandoms were Smallville, Stargate Atlantis and recently, Merlin.
Merlin
During the first year of the show, she wrote several fics and did a few drabbles for the kink meme kinkme merlin.[2] For Yuletide (2008), she submitted The Tower for Kali. Later, for the first year of Box of Magic (a Merlin Big Bang), she wrote the widely loved Merlin/Arthur fic Deluge and illustrated pennyplainknits's story Fire and Rain. Other well-received Merlin fics include Cry Havoc (Arthur/Merlin), An Exercise in Politics (Gwen/Morgana), Excalibur, which won the Merlin/Arthur Fanfic Awards in the category Best Episode-Centric Fic, and the science fiction AU Sky Full of Stars (Merlin/Arthur).
