The Sea and Sky is an epic series by 'rith and Dannell Lites focused on Nightwing/Tempest and the characters Dick Grayson and Garth. Many other authors contributed to the series.
The series began with Dannell's story "Sea and Sky: A Sea Change", written 1999 because 'rith "begged her to[1]" and subsequently spawned an alternate universe in which one detail was changed from the canon - Dick's sexuality and a relationship with Garth - and how that would alter his life. From the main thread the series expanded, with a number of other writers joining in. As of 2022, there are around 130 stories, as well as a substantial fanart and photomanip collection.
A FAQ about the series is available, and the website has a timeline where the stories are sorted chronologically. There is also a sub-series involving Black Canary, Oracle, Batgirl, Robin, Superboy, Green Arrow, and/or other DCU characters in the Sea and Sky universe, known as The Birds and the Bats.
The series was nominated in the CFAN 2001 Comic Book Fan-Fiction Awards for "Best Team Story/Series of 2000".

The Archive
Due to its size, S&S had its own page as part of the Offpanel.net hub. While many of the Offpanel pages were backed up to AO3 as part of the OTW Open Doors Committee in March 2016, only 43 of the Sea & Sky series appears there. Offpanel.net itself was closed in November 2016, along with the various subpages, but it still available via Wayback.
