The zine is a collection of letters from fans (titled "From the Helpers") of the show discussing aspects of the show including the actors, characters, stories, and fanfiction. This zine also contains photos (both xeroxed and original), some original artwork, con reports, open letters, and sometimes clippings and interviews.

Some regular features were: "OK Good...OK Fine" (the editorial), "From the Library" (zine listings), and "On the Pipes" (fan clubs).

There were 60 issues published between 1988 to 1996.

Well, what can I say? I had a great time and managed to spend every penny I made in the dealer's room on zines (18) and other merchandise (I believe in recycling the money!). The hotel was a joy compared to the Sahara. It wasn't a 20 minute hike back to your hotel room and everything was situated so close together. Although I spent most of my time at our table in the dealer's room (a fun place to be), I did manage to see part of the art auction and catch a panel or two. The costume contest was very nice and Jay and Armin arrived in time to help judge it.

The Q&A session was very enjoyable, although most of the talk focused on the guests’ current projects and not on B&B. Jay was his usual charming self and what a surprise to see David Greenlee appear toothache and all.

The autographs line on Saturday and Sunday went well with all the stars remaining until no one was left in line. This had been my one disappointment at TunnelCon 1 (Some of the stars I wanted to see had left by the time I was scheduled to get in line).

Perhaps the biggest surprise of all was to look up from my dealer's table and see Ron Koslow strolling around the room. As he went by I asked him about the movie. He seemed surprised that anyone recognized him but stopped. He smiled and said there would be one. (The big question is when?) He later spoke at the banquet and even opened the floor for questions from the audience. I'm sure we’ll be reading about it all in various newsletters so I won't repeat it again here. Let's just say that it was very reassuring to see him and Artie Ripp (Ron’s album) there....

We have experienced the community of fandom for five years (!!!), directly and indirectly. It has been both terrific and awful, thrilling and haunting, yet we have been involved, we have witnessed it and lived it. For the first time, Ron Koslow has had such an opportunity. At TunnelCon II, for the first time, he too was part of the community experience. I realize that he has had contact with fandom before, through letters and personal meetings, but at the con, he was participating in the whole community, he was immersed in the culture, and I thought he was in awe of it ~ really proud and deeply touched by it all....

Issue 42: Excerpts from the Letters

It's nice to see the B&B cast getting so much work in film and television. Did you all see Dotrice's nude scene in "Going to Extremes"? He's definitely NOT playing Father! I was watching a made-for-TV movie the other day and caught Joseph Campanella and Stephen McHattie in it. I also caught Jay's movie and noticed that his commercial aired during Roy’s show. Armin Shimerman now has a regular role as a Ferengi in the new Star Trek show, "Deep Space Nine". He was interviewed in Entertainment Weekly on all the make-up roles he has done (sounds familiar, huh?). Ron has his Huck Finn movie and was cast in some other film recently (the title escapes me at the moment)....

Well, although I’ve subscribed to "OUT...IN” for over a year, it’s the first time I've actually written a letter. "OUT...IN" has become a lot more fun lately. I enjoy seeing the more upbeat letters and the photos are always a welcomed treat. You’ve had some terrific photos of Linda Hamilton in the last issue. I guess it's old news now that she’s expecting a baby in the Spring.

I also enjoyed reading about TunnelCon II. TCII was my very first major Con and what can I say? It was WONDERFUL. Being immersed in B&TB for four days certainly renewed my spirits and increased my enthusiasm. There was so much going on, at every moment, there was never a chance to be bored. I guess the most interesting time, for me, was meeting my penpals in person. And it was a lot of fun being volunteered to be the guinea pig in the Beast Make-up panel. Now, that was different!!
