Contents
The zine is a collection of letters from fans (titled "From the Helpers") of the show discussing aspects of the show including the actors, characters, stories, and fanfiction. This zine also contains photos (both xeroxed and original), some original artwork, con reports, open letters, and sometimes clippings and interviews.
Some regular features were: "OK Good...OK Fine" (the editorial), "From the Library" (zine listings), and "On the Pipes" (fan clubs).
There were 60 issues published between 1988 to 1996.
Issue 11

Issue 11: Excerpts from the Letters
I'm not just writing this letter to get caught up. Back at the end of February, we had a CREATION convention here in NY and two of the guests were Roy Dotrice and Howard Gordon. Needless to say, they were great and we all had a marvelous time (e.g., several of us "family" members wanted to buy Mr. Dotrice a drink in the hotel bar, but he ended up paying for two rounds of drinks for ALL of us--he absolutely insisted!) Roy- -we love you, and not 'cause you paid!!
Issue 12
Once Upon a Time... Is Now 12 was published in June 1989 and contains 25 pages.
Issue 12: Excerpts from the Letters
Can I please - may I please - be the first one to say this? I'm overwhelmingly delighted that Linda is going to be a mother. I don't care if they have to buy her wardrobe at the tent and awning company, she will still be the loveliest, most appealing woman on television.
As the Coordinator of the new Sponsor Chairman Program for VQT (Viewers for Quality Television), I can attest the fact that letter-writing is a MUST, especially for shows such as B&B that have a loyal following, but not always doing well in the "ratings race". Viewers NEED to let the networks (both on the national and local affiliate levels), the producers, and now even the sponsors, know what we watch, what we like, and what we want to keep on the air! As evidenced by the media coverage regarding one woman's writing to the sponsors regarding a program she found especially offensive, quite a few sponsors pulled their advertising from that program. [1] Of course, our objective is quite the opposite in that we want to retain quality programming, not eliminate objectionable ones, but the point is our letters just might accomplish something.
I've been writing every week to CBS and the sponsors and I hope it helps. This is the only TV show I have ever done this for or felt so deeply about. The show has swept me away and is the "magic" of B&B.
Remember, friends, let's get those cards and letters flowing. With our support, we'll have a third glorious season of B&B to appreciate and enjoy.
