While the vast majority of fanworks were/are given away or traded, some fans set up organized systems to sell fannish goods. This ranged from very small-time, under-the-radar affairs, to formal, bigger outfits.
Items sold included: t-shirts, fanart, film clips, buttons, stationery, toys such as teddy bears, costumes, props, clips, calendars, jewelry, scripts, and other merchandise.
NOTE: this list does not include fan run companies that produce conventions (example: Tristar Industries), fan films, fanfic (example: fanzine publishers), or fanart (example: Partners R More). It also does not include patreon endeavors.
