Janine is a Pokémon Gym Leader from Pokémon Gold and Silver. She takes over the role after her father, Koga, becomes a member of the Indigo League Elite Four. She is well-liked with fans, though not too many fanworks exist which primarily focus on her. She also makes appearances in Pokémon Masters and Pokéspe.

- Janine's most popular relationship is her Gen one with Falkner, forming FatherlyShipping when romantic and is often just labelled as Falkner & Janine when it's not. In Japanese, this is combi is called ファザコンビ, meaning father combi since they both really admire their fathers, (unnamed in Falkner's case and Janine's is Koga.) Their romantic interpretation is F/M, aka NL, and called ハヤアン, meaning Falkner attacks and Janine receives in the coupling.
