Irida is a character from Pokémon Legends: Arceus, released in 2022. She leads the Pearl Clan and is a main character, supporting the player, (either as Akari or Rei,) throughout the story. Adaman, leader of the Diamond Clan, is considered her counterpart.
Irida is considered a fan favorite and is the focus in many fanworks.

Irida is one of the few PLA characters to have no known descendant. One theory is that she could be May's, due to them sharing a similar color palette and appearance, though this is often chalked-up to be a coincidence.[2] Another more common theory is that Barry is both hers' and Adaman's descendant.[3][2] This later theory may have been more common before Perrin's introduction in 2023.
