Relationships

In acronym ship names, Hop is represented with "hp." The acronyms were created by the Japanese side of the fandom mostly on Twitter before being adopted elsewhere. Common portmanteaus also originate from Pixiv unless it uses their English names.

  • Hop is most commonly paired up with Gloria, forming PostwickShipping[1]. In Japanese, this is called HPYU, ホプユウ (Hopuyuu) or ホプ主♀ (Hopu x Female Protagonist).
  • Hop is also shipped with Marnie, forming WyndonShipping. In Japanese, this is called HPMR or ホプマリ (Hopumari).

M/M | Yaoi

  • Hop is also shipped with Victor, forming TrainShipping, aka SlumberingWealdShipping, Hopvictor or Hopvic. In Japanese, this is most often called MSHP or マサホプ (Masahopu) or 主♂ホプ (Male Protagonist x Hop), meaning Victor is the seme and Hop is the uke in the coupling. The opposite is also commonly shipped and is written as HPMS or ホプマサ (Hopumasa) or ホプ主♂ (Hop x Male Protagonist).
  • Hop is also shipped with Bede, forming CheeryFairyShipping, aka Bop, WoolooShipping, BedeHop or HopBede. The opposite is also commonly shipped and is written as BTMS or ビトホプ (Bitohopu).
  • Hop is also shipped with his brother Leon, forming BrewShipping, aka Leehop or ChampionBroShipping. In Japanese, this is most often called DNHP or ダンホプ (Danhopu), meaning Leon is the seme and Hop is the uke in the coupling. The opposite is also commonly shipped and is written as HPDN or ホプダン (Hopudan).
  • Hop is also shipped with Raihan, forming VyingShipping, though Raihop and KBHP are more common among shippers. In Japanese, this is most often called KBHP or キバホプ (Kibahopu), meaning Raihan is the seme and Hop is the uke in the coupling. The opposite is also commonly shipped and is written as HPKB or ホプキバ (Hopukiba).

Gen | Combi

  • Hop's gen relationship with his brother Leon is also popular, forming Hop & Leon. In Japanese, this is called ハロン兄弟 (Furlong Brothers), with 'Furlong' being the Japanese name of Postwick Town.
  • Gloria, Victor, Bede, Hop and Marnie form The Galar Five. In Japanese, this is called ガラル同期組 (Galar Classmates).
