Coloring Book
From Fanlore
The creation and use of fannish coloring books is a somewhat rare fan activity, but nonetheless one that has been in existence for decades. Just like non-fannish coloring books, these print fanworks contain multiple pages of line art drawn by an artist that are meant to be colored in by the buyer.
In recent years, individual line art drawings are also sometimes offered by fanartists online. These images can be digitally edited or printed out and colored in in the traditional way.
The collection of both official and unofficial (usually Chinese or Korean) coloring books is also a collecting activity carried out by anime and manga fans. Desirable books from famous source texts can fetch high prices.
