allaire mikháil is a German fanfiction author and reccer. Allaire mikháil has also written meta essays such as why I read (and write) slash, 28 things I hate in fanfiction, and clichés in the magnificent seven fandom[1].
About
allaire started reading as soon as she learnt how to at school, and was soon known at the local library while doing her best to read through it from one end to the other. She soon went from normal fiction to sci-fi and fantasy written in English, and from there to slash. She has never looked back ever since she discovered K/S (ST-TOS) and DM/M (HL) fiction on the 'net, and has tried pretty much any fandom you can name. Occasionally, she also writes, but due to her inherent laziness, she usually reads for days on end, avoiding anything that could be loosely considered 'work'. Which explains why she's not exactly good in answering her e-mail or updating her lj.[1]
where does you name come from?
No, it is neither Franco-Canadian nor Russian. It is due to the second roleplaying character I ever developped. Allaire Mikháil is a scout in the MERPTM roleplaying game (which we, by the way, played long before Peter Jackson's trilogy was filmed) and has a lot of characteristics I'd like to have in real life. She's tough, capable and displays an innate sense of honor and a willingness to help those in need. "Allaire" comes from a fantasy novel I forgot title and author of (she was the princess who was impersonated by another woman), "Mikháil" refers to my then love for Tom Clancy's books, most especially 'The Hunt for Red October', and my attempts to learn Russian (which I soon gave up, I'm sorry to say). And it simply sounded... right... when combined with the first name. So I chose it. That's all there is. And yes, I love it, and I react to it as fast as to my real name. That's telling, isn't it?[2]
