All About Spike is a large selective Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel archive for fanfiction and essays about the character Spike. It was founded in July 2002 by Laura, who is the archivist.
The archive focuses on fanfiction that explores the ambiguities of Spike's character with an eye toward his redemption.[1] Laura states: I try to include only the most thought-provoking, entertaining, and well-written stories (regardless of pairing, rating, or genre).[1]
The archive does not accept RPF. Additionally, the archivist states that a number of types of Spike-centric story are not usually archived, including anti-feminist stories, all-human alternate universes and works where Spike becomes human, overly domestic works especially where Buffy becomes pregnant, works where Spike is purely evil with no capacity for redemption, stories where a soul is necessary for redemption and those that posit Spike was tricked into getting a soul.[2] Works are indexed by pairing, time period (episode) and theme. The site hosts occasional interviews with authors.
All About Spike stopped being updated in February 2006. It remained online until around early 2022. It contains nearly a thousand works from around 200 authors.
