- Someone cast a Memory Charm on Neville Longbottom when he was an infant.
- Harry Potter is a direct descendant of Godric Gryffindor.

- Professor Quirrell may still be alive and "getting stronger".
- "There are overwhelming signs that Snape is a vampire."
- We will probably see the Mirror of Erised again.
- Harry is immune to poison, and was likely poisoned by the Acromantula in Book 4 without knowing it.
- Suspected important magical properties in the socks Dobby made for Harry, and in the sweaters made by Molly Weasley.
- The "Florence" character mentioned in the Pensieve in Book 4 was turned into "Firenze" the centaur from Book 1.
