Was it supposed to be deleted?
Page was created, then blanked by the person who created it. Do you want to delete the page? It was added as an example of a fandom classic, so I imagine someone could build out the page further.[1]--aethel (talk) 19:37, 18 March 2018 (UTC)
Podfics & Translations
Wondering if there was a reason "podfics & translations" aren't included in the "fanworks inspired by..." section? Any objections to moving them there? -Greedy dancer (talk) 19:55, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not sure, I put it in the main body section, because I have seen it done both ways on different fanfiction pages, sometimes the podfics are included in the fanworks section, sometimes the are included in the main section, and sometimes they even get their own section, like here are three different examples from Supernatural, The Month of Open Doors has the podfic mentioned in the main body of the article, Gloria series has a separate section for the podfic, and Down to Agincourt has the podfic down in the fanworks section, so it can get a little confusing on where to put the podfic -- Kingstoken (talk) 20:16, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, I'm sure there are lots of ways to do it! :p I was just wondering because there's such a long list of "fanworks" at the bottom and initially I looked for the podfics there and couldn't find them, and it seemed to me that not having the translations & podfics in that section sort of makes it seem like they're not also fanworks, in a way? But I can also see how, since both present a complete version of the original text, they might have their place at the top... - Greedy dancer, the positioning of podfics and other fanworks of the genre are often defined according to the editors who assemble the pages. If it's a small amount I would put it in the Examples Fanwork section. But if there are multiple options I would make a single section for them and prior to the meta and discussions. - Yes, you're right, the editor who writes the page puts the podfics where they think they should go! :) I'm actually pretty happy with where they are now (I moved them from being folded under "Synopsis" to being their own section just after that), so I changed my mind about moving them to the "Fanworks..." section (though I might edit that section to say "Other Fanworks Inspired By", just to be clear that we're not saying podfics & translations *aren't* fanworks :p) -Greedy dancer (talk) 21:56, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
