smut_wednesday was a Harry Potter LiveJournal community for weekly postings of sexually explicit fanart. Its entries were public but posting membership was by invitation only.
It was founded by fools_trifle and originally featured bogfrog, hill_, and myrafur as the other "resident artists".[1] reallycorking, vikingcarrot, la_fono, redpiratemel, and violetfishy were later also members of the community. Various other artists were featured as guests.
fools_trifle deleted the community "for the time being" on August 4, 2007, in response to Boldthrough.[2] Although there were hopes that the community would be undeleted, it was purged by the end of the year.[3] A replacement community, hump_day_smut, was started by tripperfunster and other artists in December 2007.[4]

Hello! Welcome to Smut Wednesday, a weekly Harry Potter smut fanart community.smut_wednesday was started by fools_trifle to house her own smutty artwork. To ensure a weekly dose of smut, she has since recruited three other dirty fandom artists to join her in her endeavour to make your Wednesdays as happily smutty as possible. :D
Every Wednesday, the community will be updated with a minimum of one piece of HP smut art, usually three or four, by one of the moderators and a selection of other fandom artists. Each week's art follows a theme.
The art you will find here consists of het, slash and femmeslash, all mixed up in one. There will be canon ships and very un-canon ships, right down to the Very Wrong ships, and we make no apologies for any of it. :D[5]
