Summaries & Reviews

  • "Holy shit. Whereas The Moon consisted of cute and gag stories, this is angst at its best! The man story centers around James, Sirius, and Peter and their reactions when Remus reveals that he is a werewolf. James seems to have expected it all along and reacts calmly, while Peter is both surprised and scared. Sirius at first shouts at Remus before throwing himself into his friend's arms and bursting into tears -- it seems Sirius had suspected Remus of even worse wrongdoing (my suspicion is that he thought Remus was a vampire) and feels guilty for his actions. In the end, Peter -- who has been portrayed in a very good light, much to the circle's credit -- bandages Remus' self-inflicted wounds, while James comforts Sirius and Remus, who is by this time crying himself. Yeah, I must say that this has got to be my favorite doujinshi of all time. Angsty werewolves, and angsty Sirius, and such droolicious art..."[2]
  • "Of the scanslations available online, Aku Tenshi's version of Shisenden's beautiful 'Lagrangian Points' has a very characteristic portrayal of James in MWPP-era Remus/Sirius doujinshi. If you haven't seen it, I highly suggest it, even if you're not a R/S fan--it's not explicit, and with the exception of a few lines, the relationship could be taken for one of strong friendship. Not to mention that the art and the stories are absolutely gorgeous."[3]
  • "One color page (Sirius). There are two comic stories in this book. The first story is a sad post-PoA story. The second is a Marauders story where they have to deal with Lupin's werewolf side. Again, amazing art from Shisenden and a doujinshi well worth buying."[4]
  • "The first story tells us about how Remus is trying to buy Wolfbane ingredients from some random guy that fans like us should hate. The second story tells us about the past, on how the 3 Marauders take it when they found out that Remus is a werewolf. Sirius x Remus"[1]
  • "What can I say? It's straight-up angst-ridden Sirius/Remus. A barrel full of pain is what this is, and [Synodic Month] is. This one contains three short stories. The first story in Lagrangian Points is about Remus trying to buy ingredients to make wolfbane, leading up to Sirius getting mad at him (well, it's a bit difficult to explain in a short sentence). The second story is about the Marauders finding out that Remus is a werewolf. I swear James looks like a scheming mastermind (or a warped version of a matchmaker?), what with him sitting in an armchair with his legs crossed. And the third is just a short, tender moment between Remus and Sirius as they remember James (it's a bit ambiguous and confusing, but Sirius thinks that Remus loves James, and then Remus says that Sirius loves James; no idea if they really mean romantic love when they say that...). The art looks like watercolour, but it's in black and white. The style is perhaps the most realistic one out of the lot I've read; somehow it reminds me of some of the yaoi manga. Anyway, personally I like the second story the best, simply because James is just irresistible."[5]
