Kisame x Itachi or KisaIta is a yaoi Naruto ship between Hoshigaki Kisame and Uchiha Itachi.
Canon & History
Kisame and Itachi are both members of the Akatsuki, a criminal organization of S-class missing-nin, and first appeared (together!) in the Search for Tsunade arc, specifically Volume #16, Naruto Chapter #139. This would have been late 2002 or early 2003 in Japan's Weekly Shounen Jump and mid-2007 for Viz's monthly English-language Shonen Jump, as the tankōbon for Volume 16 was released March 2002 in Japan and September 2007 in English. The first post on ita-kisa was in April of 2005.[1]
Kisame and Itachi were partnered together by Akatsuki and thus often appeared together in canon. Kisame defers to Itachi's judgement in combat and openly admits that Itachi is stronger than him. Kisame's dying thoughts revolved around Itachi.
