Intrepid Heroes is the name of the main party of players for Dimension 20. It consists of Lou Wilson, Ally Beardsley, Emily Axford, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, and Siobhan Thompson with Brennan Lee Mulligan as DM. Several of the players have also appeared on NADDPOD, which features Brian and Emily as core cast members, and The Rotating Heroes Podcast, which featured Zac as DM.

Campaigns

  • Fantasy High is the first campaign with the Intrepid Heroes, all of whom were relatively new to 5E when it aired. It was billed as "D&D Meets High School" and is John Hughes-esque high school coming of age in a fantasy setting. The show ran for 17 episodes with 2 live shows recorded in Brooklyn and RTX Austin for a 19 total episodes. It has a second season, which was livestreamed on Twitch rather than being pre-recorded, and featured 2 one-shots as part of RTX @ Home and Roll20Con for 22 total episodes.
  • The Unsleeping City followed Fantasy High, which was billed as "D&D meet NYC." It's closer to urban fantasy than and features Stephen Sondheim as an NPC. This campaign was pre-recorded and ran for 17 episodes but also has extensive behind the scenes content available on Dropout. The second season, which aired in 2020, was remotely pre-recorded and ran for 18 episodes.
  • A Crown Of Candy aired between the second seasons of Fantasy High and The Unsleeping City. It's essentially Game of Thrones in the world of Candyland and ran for 17 pre-recorded episodes. The season was unusual in that character death was pre-planned to be possible and every player made a backup character before the campaign began and several of them ended up being used.
  • A Starstruck Odyssey, a campaign taking place in the universe of Starstruck, a comic series written by Brennan Lee Mulligan's mom, Elaine Lee. It was the first campaign not to use straight 5E, instead using Star Wars 5E. It ran for 18 pre-recorded episodes.
  • Neverafter is the current Intrepid Heroes campaign, set in a fairy tale world. It's very meta, with the players subverting the narratives of the stories their characters come from, and is a very dangerous world like A Crown Of Candy resulting in the party's first TPK.

Memes

  • "Say hi, Intrepid Heroes!": Brennan opens every episode with a very fast and increasingly incoherent introduction. The introduction goes "Hello one and all and welcome to another thrilling episode of Dimension 20. I am your humble Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan and with us as always are our Intrepid Heroes. Say 'hi' Intrepid Heroes!" but it rarely actually sounds like that and is the source of many jokes.[1][2] The cast also say "Hi, Intrepid Heroes!"back to Brennan, which some fans do also say.[3]
  • Ally's Nat20s: In particular, Ally is known for getting Nat20s in particularly clutch moments[4] including a moment where they broke the entire game, forcing Brennan to fix it over the break.[5] This has led to some players invoking their name when rolling.[6][7]
