From the Editorial
For several years now, we have wanted to be able to express our appreciation for Leonard Nimoy, our faith in him and our respect for his integrity, his talent and his judgement. Other fans, too, have wanted to share their feelings for the actor and the man. He has given us so much, we wanted to give a little of it back.Since 1978, there has been no home for poetry, stories, artwork or articles on Leonard Nimoy's activities. He has given many fine performances on stage and screen in the last four years. Many of us have been fortunate to have been there to applaud him, but we wanted to give some more permanent form of recognition.
And with the release of not one, but two feature length STAR TREK films, fandom itself has changed. There has been a need to bring Leonard Nimoy fans together in support of his career. We have come a long way from the early first confusing discussions of STAR TREK revival. The Enterprise still flies and Spock still lives. Whether or not we, as STAR TREK fans, always agree with the scripts and decisions made on behalf of STAR TREK, we can at least rejoice in the continuation of the dream.
Thus, INSATIABLE CURIOSITY was born. We decided to concentrate on the time from the release of the first movie, 1979, to the second in 1982, but have left a little room for LN's activities in 83, too, so as to be able to include not only "Vincent", "Seizure", "Marco Polo" and "Golda" but "In Search Of... II and his episode of "T.J. Hooker" as well. We have been delighted by the enthusiasm and encouragement we1ve received from LN fans around the world since the announcement of INSATIABLE CURIOSITY. The material submitted was of consistently high quality and we are proud to present the efforts of our contributors to you. They have described the many facets of Leonard Nimoy in a multitude of fascinating ways.
