Description from Once Upon a Time... Is Now #30:

The Crystalline Rose Awards for Excellence in Fandom®, are literary awards for fan-produced, Beauty and the Beast-inspired works. They will be presented for the first time at the South of Oz, B&B Convention, to be held June 14-16 in Orlando, Florida.

Categories include: Short story, Novella, Novel (both drama and comedy); Dramatic(teleplay/movie) format, Poetry (long and short), Fan Group Publication, Letterzine, Infozine, Comedy-zine, Overall Fanzine, and Filksong.

All nominations received by March 31, 1991 will be counted to determine the top three vote-getters in each category! These will move onto the final judging. A panel consisting of peer reviewers and literary professionals will select the winners. The Crystalline Rose Awards® will be presented at the very special Saturday evening banquet. We hope to have several of our celebrity guests participate!
