CarterFox (also known as CarterFox the Fox) (13th October 2011) was a stuffed fox that was send around the world in 2011 and 2012 in order to raise money for charity. Just like his cousin Frankenbear, this action was initiated by XFilesNews.
Named after X-Files creator Chris Carter, the fox sported as surf board and board trunks. Originally is was planned to tour 21 countries. X-Philes had to send a written application to XFilesNews with a argumentation why their city should be visited by CarterFox. As a surfer dude (hence the accompanying surfboard), Cartefox raised money for "Save the Waves" in honor of X-Files series creator, Chris Carter.[1]
In 2011 CarterFox took pictures with David Duchovny, Mitch Pileggi, Darin Morgan and Glen Morgan, Robert Patrick actor Jeff Gulka, actress Julia Vera, Matt Hurwitz and others.
On his way to Russia in January 2012, he and the card box he travelled in vanished without a trace. The last trace of the package was at a Russian custom office.
