C-media, also commonly known as Cmedia, is an abbreviation of the term, "Chinese Media". It might also be referred to as C-Ent (C-Entertainment). Sub-fandoms include C-drama, C-gaming, C-novels, C-pop, Donghua and Manhua

Due to the rise of Chinese entertainment and pop culture, C-media fans (especially ones on Twitter or Weibo) have coined the terms to connect with other fellow C-media stans and grow a friendly online environment. From 2020-2023, the most notable examples of C-media include The Untamed, Nex7, Genshin Impact and Heaven Official's Blessing.[citation needed]

In C-Media, there are usually a few ultra-popular celebrities, also known as 顶流(dingliu); they tend to attract strong followings and make whatever they participate in highly popular. In 2023, male dingliu might include Xiao Zhan (particularly famous for Wei Wuxian in the Untamed, and his fans were rumoured to be behind the Blocking of AO3 in China), as well as Jackson Yee (an idol from hit boyband Tfboys), Wang Yibo (particularly famous for Lan Wangji in the The Untamed) and Cai Xukun (debuted in Idol Producer and mentored on Youth with You) [1]. While perhaps less popular in China (<citation needed>), Yang Yang (The King's Avatar, You are my Glory, Love O2O) is popular amongst western fans. Female dingliu might include Zhao Liying, Yang Mi, Yang Zi and Dilraba (Running Man, You are my Glory, The Long Ballad) [2]
