Boba Fett is a Mandalorian bounty hunter from the Star Wars universe. He appeared in all three films of the Original Trilogy (A New Hope[note 1], The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi), plus Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.[1] Jeremy Bulloch played the role in Empire and Return, Daniel Logan played him in Attack, and Temuera Morrison [2] reprised the role in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.
Fandom
He was popular enough despite being something of a minor character in the Original Trilogy that Attack of the Clones was practically an Origin Story for him.[3]
There was another surge of fannish interest in the character when he appeared in The Mandalorian TV Show, which led to him starring in his own TV show, The Book of Boba Fett.
Pairings
Prior to the release of The Mandalorian, Boba was most commonly shipped with Darth Vader. He also has some "Enemy het" stories with Leia Organa.
The release of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett led to the development of new ships, the most popular of which is Din Djarin/Boba Fett (also known as BobaDin), as well Boba Fett/Fennec Shand. The shows also caused an uptick in the number of Reader-Insert fics featuring the reader as a romantic pair with Boba.
