Bad Things is a Teen Wolf meta vid by niyalune, also called "AKA the bad touch vid", that focused on the often violent and sexual interactions between many of the adult and teen characters on the television series. It was highly praised for highlighting how the character of Derek was both a victim and perpetrator of this behaviour.

As of November 2024, it has over 16,000 views on YouTube.

Oh so creepy and yet so enticing. Nice choice on the clips and editing; I really liked this. I also really liked Derek's dual role; it really encapsulates the issues he has with people and intimacy - hell, issues the show has with relationships. I almost feel guilty for enjoying this so much. Guess that just means I'll have to keep watching it over again.[3]

the way that Derek is both one of the Bad Touch-ers and one of the Bad Touch-ees is endlessly fascinating to me[4]

Wow, so this is distressingly perfect, because and also says all the things about Derek for how heavily he’s shown on both sides of the bad touch power dynamic. Especially the shots from 0:50-0:52, where you have Derek mirroring with Scott exactly what Peter did to him.[5]

I think the thing that hit me the most is for every time Derek has been weird at one of the teens, someone older was as bad or worse to him at some point. (Doesn’t excuse him, obvs, but still of note.)[7]

I loved this because the adults are all terrible and because this vidder made Derek a CREEPY ADULT and also a manhandled kid and I LOVE THAT.[8]

Wow okay I love this editing. The beginning where the adults are clearly getting ready to do some damage, the children looking around curious, then wary. The first touch being able to be mistaken for a guiding hand and then the descent into pain and threats, ending with outright violence and subjugation. Amazing, I loved it.[3]
