Ani Bester is a fanartist, fanwriter and fan community moderator in several fandoms.
In 2021 Ani wrote in her website notes her final thoughts on the HP fandom after JKR's transphobic statements:
[...]Speaking of Memorials. I think all of us older fans have spend the last few years mourning JKR's repulsive stance. So let me firmly say I DO NOT stand with her.
I stand with my friends who are fighting for recognition of who they truly are.
I consider Trans Women to be Women and Trans Rights to be Human Rights.
I was broken hearted that JKR would so publicly hurt such vulnerable members of her fandom and it turned HP, sadly, from a nostalgia pleasure into a guilty pleasure. This was a bitter ending to such a huge part of my 20s.
I don't know when I will be back to this site. The internet is not what it was in the 2000s, that's for sure.

About
Bucky/Steve Fandom:I know a lot of people come here for my Bucky/Steve works and I just wanted to say, it may be a long time before I can write anymore. A lot were written when based around one of my closest friends who happened to be (very) sick quite often, so I wrote somethings to help cope with fears of her dying.
Unfortunately, that fear became reality on December 5th and my closest friend since I was 15 passed away. At this time, even attempting to write Bucky Steve fics is too painful, and it may remain that way for a long time.

So, I'm Ani_Bester, a fanfic hobbyist whose currently taken with the comics fandom, though occasionally I write the random fic for a few other fandoms (notably Star Trek and Supernatura)
I like WWII history, Russian history, watercolor (I'm more a fanartist than a fanfic writer), collecting lovely art, and rats.
Fandoms I may write for include, Marvel Comics, Marvel Movies, DC Comics, Battlestar Galactica (Tos), Star Trek (Tos), Supernatural, and Harry Potter. Possibly this list may start to include Stargate, but we'll see.– ani_bester's ao3 profile
