Anakin/Obi-Wan is a slash pairing of Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars films. Often called "Obikin" by the fandom.

Anakin/Obi-Wan is a controversial ship, and some fans have severals reasons why they choose not to ship these two together.

They’re like fifteen or sixteen years apart, met when Anakin was nine and Obi-Wan was TWENTY-FIVE, are MADE of communication issues, and oh yeah Anakin is also an ex-slave who started calling Obi-Wan “Master” less than a WEEK after meeting him, that is also a thing that happened there. Also “you were my brother” could’ve just as easily been “you were my son” because let’s be real, let’s be honest, THE LINE IS PRETTY THIN THERE. [1]

Fans of this pairing often acknowledge the complicated canon relationship of these two, but don't view that as an impediment to shipping.

The problems, as you call them, are what make Obikin so interesting, ultimately tragic and triumphant. They’re two incredibly codependent, often terrifying, men who love each other enough to see it through betrayal and the galaxy burning and beyond. *shrugs* I’ve been shipping this longer some anti’s have been alive. I have zero fucks to give about whatever has their panties in a bunch about it. I hate seeing their negativity ruin things for other people.[2]

Fanfics pairing these two are often angst filled as a result of their canon relationship. There are Mustafar AUs where Vader is victorious, or Obi-Wan takes pity on his former padawan. There are even works where the two run away from the war together. There are works featuring one or both characters time traveling to the past, or the future, sometimes reliving past events with a knowledge of the future.
