Mustafar AU refers to Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith fanfiction stories that diverge during or after the Battle of Mustafar. In the aftermath of his duel with Obi-Wan, Anakin Skywalker is gravely injured and abandoned on Mustafar. These AU stories are often fix-its and extremely canon divergent; Obi-Wan and/or Padme refusing to abandon Anaikin on Mustafar a common storyline. However there are also extremely dark Mustafar AUs, where Anakin is victorious.

Common Tropes & Storylines

• Unburned Anakin - often overlaps with Anakin is victorious stories.
• Obi-Wan rescuing Anakin after he is injured.
• Anakin realizes the error of his ways and attempts to redeem himself.
• Darth Vader keeping Obi-Wan and/or Padme prisoner in the aftermath of his victory at Mustafar.
• Anakin's victory sometimes results in Obi-Wan's death, or Obi-Wan may suffer burns in his defeat.
• Obi Wan dies and wakes up in the past - with knowledge of the future he is able to prevent Anakin's turn to the dark side.
