Scrapped CC-2244 | Cody Inclusion

In an exclusive interview with The Direct, one of the show's writers revealed an intent to include Commander Cody, which was scrapped due to a variety of factors (lack of screentime, availability of actor Temuera Morrison, etc)[1]. This was revealed a few months after the ending of the show.

Many fans, particularly Codywan shippers, expressed disappointment that this plan for the show had been cut.

Fandom Reception

Obi-Wan Kenobi received a large amount of viewership, with its premiere becoming the most-watched Disney+ original to date.[2] Many fans praised the depiction of Obi-Wan's trauma and grief, though some fans found the plot to be underdeveloped.

Racism against Moses Ingram

Moses Ingram is a Black woman and played Reva | Third Sister, one of the primary antagonists of the show. Prior to and during the show's release, she received racist abuse and threats, particularly on Instagram. In response, the official Star Wars Twitter account released both an official statement and a video from Ewan McGregor, condemning this racism [3][4].
