Akimichi Chouji is a minor, recurring character on Naruto.
Canon
Akimichi Chouji is a member of the Rookie 9 and on Team 10 with Nara Shikamaru and Yamanaka Ino, under Sarutobi Asuma. He is the Clan Heir for the Akimichi Clan, a clan that is known for their Yang Release techniques for manipulating their body weight and size. Because of this, Chouji needs a lot of body fat and is constantly snacking.
In pre-Shippuden, he appears mostly laidback, although he will get very angry and lose his cool if someone refers to him as fat.

Chouji is rarely the main focus, however fanfiction that he is depicted in tend to give him positive portrayals.
