January/Feburary 2012 - Fans hyping up for LOK to start, Korrasami slowly starts to show its face, all we know is there’s a character named Korra and a character named Asami. Around this time, the first ever korrasami fanart appears.
April 14 2012 - lok airs first two episodes, korrasami slowly takes form, still in the rarepair stage
May 19 2012 - B1E7 “The Aftermath” airs, has the legendary race car scene, korrasami fans begin to come out from the woodwork, korrasami gets a true ship name (“korrasami”), still in the rarepair stage but starting to become more solidified
June 2012 - november 2013 - the first dark ages. Korrasami has evolved from rarepair to crackship, makorra breakup creates some sparks and brings out new korrasami fans, borra is slowly receding as “the other ship in the ship war”, korrasami begins to rise.
June 27 2014 - B3E1 “A Breath Of Fresh Air” airs, korrasami fans start popping up from everywhere, long-time korrasami fans start to enter the “what the fuck this is actually happening?” stage, we are still under the impression that it’s a crack ship and it will “never happen”
Hell all of book three lets be real here it created the ship and korrasami quickly rises as Korra and Asami keep having moments together
August 22 2014 - B3E13 “Venom of the Red Lotus” airs. By now korrasami is established as “the other ship in the ship war”. Arguably, Korrasami has become the most popular ship. There is fandom drama, violent ship wars, but by now there is a plethora of fanart and fanfiction and The Popular Korrasami Fans have established themselves. But most importantly, B3E13 marks the first “batshit crazy” moment, with the very end of the episode, with Asami helping an injured Korra out which involved that classic hand holding and “if you ever want to talk, or, anything” line. Korrasami fans go, well, batshit crazy.
August 23rd - October 3rd 2014 - the second dark ages. Doesnt last long, korrasami remains strong, fan theories of canon potential start to pop up, everyone (including korrasami fans) dismiss them, not wanting to get their hopes up
October 10 2014 - S4E2 “Korra Alone” airs. The second “batshit crazy” moment comes when Asami offers to go with Korra back to the south pole in a flashback. The fan theories of canon potential start to appear more often. People start to have hope.
November 14 2014 - S4E7 “Reunion” airs. This is the big one. The one where people REALLY started to have hope. The “your hair is looking snazzy, as always” line occurs. Intense over-analyzation of all of Korra and Asami’s interactions dominates our tumblr dashboards. This is the “holy fucking shit” moment, just slightly above batshit crazy.
November 21 2014 - B4E8 “Remembrances” airs. Korra and Asami share a small scene. Fans go batshit crazy. Personal ancedote: this was when I told my sibling i’d wake them up in the middle of the night if korrasami actually became canon. I was that damn sure it was going to happen
December 19 2014 - the big one. The korra finale airs. forever immortalized as “Korrasamiversary”, korrasami actually becomes canon. Fans can’t believe it actually happened, to this day, fans *still* can’t believe it actually happened. Yes I woke up my sibling. They couldn’t believe it either. My mom got mad at me. I had to quit the internet for two days because my mind was so blown. Legendary “we be poppin all the bottles when makorra becomes canon” pepe pops up.
December 22 2014 - the “korrasami is canon” posts by bryke go up. Its legit. Its actually real. Korrasami is canon. Fans continue to shit themselves.
Early 2015 - the korrasami fandom has entered the honeymoon phase. Fan works are coming out the wazoo. Feudal lord and handmaiden takes the lesbian meme world by storm. Korra book 4 commentary confirms that “korra and asami live happily ever after”. The world is a slightly better place.
March 4 2015 - turtle duck date night. First ever canon korrasami art. Still used in fan edits and used as icons on tumblr non-ironically. Fans shit themselves even more.
July 10 2015 - korra comics initial announcement. Second ever canon korrasami art. Its honestly impressive no one has died from all the quality gay content yet. To have a release date in “fall 2016”
Early-mid 2016 - the korrasami fandom never “dies” but features a huge slowdown in content produced. Most fans have moved onto other wlw fandoms, but keep korrasami in their hearts. Brittney williams is revealed at first to be the official artist, but unfortunately cannot do the art anymore due to health and schedule problems. Korrasami comics are post-poned.
Fall 2016 - happens. No korrasami comics. However…
October 4 2016 - the korrasami renaissance. korra comics get official name, “turf wars”, new artist, irene koh, and a release date of june 2017. Korra blogs start to resurface on everyone’s tumblr dashboards. Korrasami tag recieves new life. Fans egarly start to reform and come together again. The world is a slightly better place.

April 14 2012 - first episodes of korra air, lin exists, becomes a sapphic icon
September 13 2012 - b2e1 airs. Kya exists. also becomes a sapphic icon. Kyalin.
September 14 2012-december 19th 2014 - the dark ages. Kyalin is the rarest pair, yet everyone ships it.
March 21 2015 - kya is confirmed queer. The kyalin fandom is Reborn
