The Avon Club (Avon: The Paul Darrow Society) is a UK-based fan club devoted to Paul Darrow, who played Avon in the sci-fi TV series Blake's 7.

The Club publishes both fanzines and a quarterly newsletter. It also serves as the official fan club of Paul Darrow and was founded in 1980. It described itself as "a friendly club for fans of Avon and those wishing to keep in touch with Paul's career. Run with the full co-operation of Paul and Janet Darrow." In fact, after Paul Darrow's appearance in "MacBeth," the club managed all of their fan mail. [1]

The club hosted the Space City conventions between 1985-1992 and sold the Space City con tapes.

This club also ran Star One, an annual convention series between 2003 and 2006, as well as a number of other Blake's 7 fan get-togethers.

Their fan mail is now being handled by the Avon fan club. Paul and Janet were unique in the way they responded to their fan mail, and although we're sorry they can no longer do so, we feel that they deserve a well-earned rest - with all our gratitude for the work they've done for fans over the years. -- from the editor of Horizon Letterzine, stated in a very early issue
