I'm thinking this should just be The Beatles? (And wow, this Yuletide bot is going to be a pain in the ass, Y/Y?) --Kyuuketsukirui 04:53, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm refining the bot as we speak, Kyuuketsukirui, that's why there were only a few test pages made, and any input is welcome -- I set up a discussion area for the bot on its talk page. --astolat Nov 9 2008, 4:46pm UTC
Yeah, I followed a link to here that was called "Beatlemania," and I think my mother (who was a Beatlemaniac in 1964) would flip if someone told her that was the same thing as Beatles RPF! I don't know how structurally to fix this - separate pages? Nesting? -- but it does appear to need a fix.--Vee 02:39, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
I just checked and there is no page called Beatlemania, so it must be that someone linked using a pipe. I agree they're not the same, so my suggestion would just be to go to whatever page you found it on and take out the link. (Or if you want to make a page for Beatlemania itself, start up a new page and link to that rather than this.) --Kyuuketsukirui 03:49, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
This was discussed before but nothing came of it. I think this page should be moved to The Beatles. --Doro 14:03, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
Like the comments above mentioning the Beatlemania issue, I think the point that Beatles RPF =/= Beatles fandom would need to be incorporated into the article (at least as note or outline or something) if we move this article to become the main Beatles article or it would be really distorting, even if this wiki is not much about "regular" music fandom rather than the celebrity RPF kind (just like many of comic fandom pages are not about the majority in those comic fandoms etc).--RatCreature 11:03, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

I found a Beatles LJ community that isn't RPF: beatlesecret--aethel (talk) 23:54, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

I have been expanding this page and I also think this page should be moved to The Beatles, to account for non-RPF fandom activities. In addition to the things already mentioned, I would like to add a section on vidding that discusses vids of The Beatles, but also 1) the use of the Beatles' music in vids for other fandoms and 2) the Beatles' influence on vidding. These are fandom relevant, but I wouldn't particularly categorize either of them as having to do with RPF. The pages for The Who and The Rolling Stones are also titled this way. --Bella (talk) 14:40, 29 May 2022 (UTC)

I agree that this page should be moved to The Beatles, most of the Music RPF pages seem to follow this title format to integrate both RPF/non-RPF fannish activities on the same page --Legendofthefireemblem (talk) 15:10, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
The page has been moved (only took 13 years, 7 months xD) Always use Template:AttentionGardeners is you want to flag a page move --Auntags (talk) 19:57, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
