PPOV

I'm not in this fandom and thus have not participated either way, however I do feel that at the moment this page leans heavily against Kataang shippers and could use more citations. For example, "more extreme shippers launched smear campaigns against Bryke, who they felt "ruined" the series to satisfy their own egos" is a bold, very negative statement that especially could use some citations. "Some even went as far as to say all Zutara shippers were delusional idiots" is also a very aggressive statement against Kataang shippers. Due to this, and because I feel it also lacks a Kataang perspective, I'll be placing a PPOV template on it. Patchlamb (talk) 22:07, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

Deleted ship war history content

Hi Zion, thank you for your additions to this article, but please do not remove other fan opinions. Fanlore follows a policy of PPOV, where we strive to include many fannish POVs on our articles. If we think some of these fan opinions are being presented as factual rather than as opinions, or the article is written in an inflammatory way, let's discuss that here instead of deleting fan opinions. Thanks for all the great work you've done on this page over the years! I noticed your recent edit removed a couple of links with the explanation of "Are we really going to include posts from this particular user calling other people toxic when they have a bad reputation themselves for shipping a teenage girl with a gay man?". I have decided to revert this removal, restoring the links to the thethiefandtheairbender tumblr page. Taking a quick look at the two links, it looks like these are tumblr posts by a fan engaging in the "Kataang vs Zutara" ship war and related discussions, which is the topic of this article. So, removing these links on the basis that you dislike this blogger's shipping opinions is considered Hostile Editing - please review Fanlore:Hostile Editing Policy to avoid running afoul of this in the future.

It's very understandable to disagree with a fannish POV that one sees on a Fanlore page.
