Name of page (Jayce/Viktor, JayVik and VikJay)

Hello! Regarding the name of the page: There's a particular conundrum with these guys.

JayVik and VikJay are not the same pairing nor represent the same characters, they also have different dynamics, with one being much older than the other. They're technically the same people, yes, but in different universes. Perhaps... Like Sylvie is Loki, but not really (sorry, couldn't think of a better example). While JayVik is certainly the most popular, I'm not sure if the main page itself should hold that name, instead of something more neutral like Jayce/Viktor? I think both "pairings" can and should be in the same page, it's more of a localisation issue.

Fans of VikJay have been dealing with Riot deleting parts of the original League canon due to the popularity of the Arcane characters and it's getting harder to locate the info on the OG pairing as well. Perhaps a redirect from JayVik and VikJay to a main page "Jayce/Viktor"? What do you guys think? Aliandry (talk) 02:05, 28 January 2025 (UTC)

I'm not in this fandom, but maybe it can be labelled as "Jayce/Viktor (League of Legends)" and "Jayce/Viktor (Arcane)"? I worry that the VikJay/JayVik method doesn't work in other languages, like Chinese, Thai, etc, and it's hard for outsiders to know what pairing is being talked about. We could try "Jayce/Viktor".
There is the "Clark Kent/Lex Luthor" article for most Superman media, and the "Clark Kent/Lex Luthor (Smallville)" article specifically for the Smallville version. "Jayce/Viktor" could be similarly split into "Jayce Talis/Viktor (Arcane)" and "Jayce/Viktor (League of Legends)".

I feel like breaking the pairing into two pages will further erase the VikJayce side of it, as a JayVik page would be gathering most of the traction. I also don't think it's worth separating the pairing into two, considering there is considerable overlap and the LOL skins themselves have different lore, which would then break the pairing further. Considering how common it is to use multiversal and time travel in Fandom, this would also further link the pairings.
In Fandom, the Arcane versions of the pairing are also heavily leaning on LOL lore to make up for the "holes" in the show, since they are technically the same people (e.g. sweetmilk, augmentations, Viktor's arrival etc.). I'd say the Arcane pairing is dependent on the LOL one, with the LOL one being more independent. As for the English names, Jayce Giopara is used for OG Jayce and Jayce Talis is used for Arcane Jayce. MH or Machine Herald is used for OG Viktor. These could be used to mark the pairings or complement the information. Men or Boys of Progress is also used occasionally for the pairing (similarly to how Piltover's Finest is used for CaitVi or Violyn).
