stylesforstiles was a fanwriter who was active in One Direction fandom between 2012 and 2016. stylesforstiles shipped Harry/Louis and believed that Harry and Louis were in a relationship in real life[1].
stylesforstiles created an AO3 account in January 2013[2] and posted 60 Larry fanfics, the last posted on February 14, 2016.[3] stylesforstiles was also active on Tumblr between August 2012 and February 22, 2016, at which point the Tumblr account was abruptly abandoned, but not deleted. stylesforstiles also had a Twitter account that was deleted.
In early 2016, after Louis Tomlinson's son was born, stylesforstiles started a Larry blog called larrystylinsonreceipts with a few other Larries; the purpose of the blog was to collect evidence to "debunk babygate", that is, prove that Louis was not a father.[4] In late February, word got out that the larrystylinsonreceipts admins were sitting on evidence acquired from hacking Louis's friend's Facebook account that Louis was, in fact, a father. Rumors and accusations swirled, with the admins being accused of having been secret anti-larries or Louis haters or Het Harries or Gryles shippers all along. stylesforstiles made a Tumblr post on February 19 addressing "discourse in the fandom":
I love Harry and Louis, I want their happy ending, however I don’t, and never have, supported their family members and hangers on, and I don’t have to! ... I’m allowed to have an opinion about it and still support them, i just try to keep it in one place, and it doesn’t mean I dislike either of them, I’m just human like everyone else, and having your own opinion is OKAY and normal.[5]
The larrystylinsonreceipts blog was deleted after posting their side of the story, saying that they had been harassed.[4]
