ParryHotter is a LiveJournal community for "twisted fans of Harry Potter". It had a focus on smut and squicky pairings.

As of 2021, there are 1,986 posts and 17,830 comments received at the community. This is largely due to the community's informal, chat-like environment during the first couple years after its creation. The community profile stated: "We go crazy with our comments/conversations [...]. This is also a very active community, so just be aware that we post about 8 times a day average. Usually more."[1]

Activity started to slow in late 2003. All posts except for mod announcements made since 2006 are locked to members. Following the events of Boldthrough in August 2007, the community was set to moderated membership. It was switched back to open membership in June 2011.

There were plans to host a convention in response to Nimbus 2003 called Nimrod 2005.[2] The community had a short-lived website with a sorting quiz at parryhotter.org.

About

"Wandering into parryhotter is like accidentally taking the Floo to Knockturn Alley!" -coell

ParryHotter is the community filled with the joy of bringing together the twisted fans of Harry Potter. We love fanfic, slash, fan art, twincest, and anything involving drugs, ice cream and underwear. We support ships like Filch/Lucius, Dobby/Harry, Ginny/Percy, Sirius/Buckbeak, and of course, the ever popular, Harry/his hand. But twisted shipping is only the beginning. [...]

We are older than pornish_pixies and erotic_elves, but we did not suffer the brunt of what happened in 2007 with Strikethrough (thank God). By Strikethrough we were already locked down tight; now the Russians own LJ and they don't seem to care about fandom perversions (as well, there was a court case recently decided that contradicts everything Six Apart tried to impose upon LiveJournallers, so...yay!).
