Melinda Shreve (later Melinda Reynolds) was a fanartist, fan writer, and zine editor primarily in the Star Trek: TOS and Hardcastle and McCormick fandoms in the 1970s, '80s, and early '90s.

Shreve "entered fandom on February 16, 1974 when she attended the NY Star Trek Convention."[1]

Star Trek: TOS

Melinda Shreve was a co-editor of Delta Triad, a Star Trek: TOS zine, from 1975 to 1979, and contributed fanart and fanfiction to many of the issues. She also provided illustrations for a number of Interstat issues from 1977 to 1981 and wrote a character commentary article for the zine until September 1979.

She also provided art for the following zines:

Hardcastle and McCormick

Shreve was the editor of the Hardcastle and McCormick zine Back-to-Back from 1985 to 1989, as well as a co-editor of Casefiles (1986) with Kathy Costello.

She also wrote two Hardcastle and McCormick fanfiction novels, You Get What You Pay For (1985) and Child of Two Lifetimes (1988), the latter co-written with Judy Darnell and Laura Scarsdale. Her fanfiction was also featured in:

She also provided cover art for You & the Zine You Wrote In On, as well as art for the zine Casefiles (1986).

Other Fandoms

Shreve illustrated the cover of the Simon and Simon zine Finish This Story (1985), and wrote a Riptide story for the multifandom anthology Sweet Justice (issue 1, 1985). She also wrote letters of comment and provided illustrations for the multimedia zine The Cannell Files (1984-1985).

Her comments were included in an article comparing Star Trek to Star Wars in All About Star Trek Fan Clubs #6 (1977).
