The Editorial

This is an off-the-top-of-my-head editorial, or what on earth should I say? First, let me make a statement. Falcon's Lair is the last zine the I will do for at least four years and possible forever. Now, don't go running to the back looking for a contradictory statement — like in SR — 'cause you ain't gonna find one. I have come to the realization that it is impossible to put out a high-quality zine and attend college simultaneously. At least for me it is. So adios.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, I'd like to welcome you to FL and thank you for investing in it. I hope that you aren't disappointed, but if you are please write to me and tell me why — and, of course, if you've enjoyed it, I'd also like to hear from you. That's one thing that I've always wondered about in fandom. When I entered the ranks of the zined, I was under the misconception that I would receive a nice share of LoCs, but friends, it just ain't necessarily so! I get on the average one LoC for every twelve issues sold. Tisk, tisk, not an encouraging statistic. So please write!

Also, in case you're wondering what I am going to do now that I'm saying good-bye to zine editing (I'm NOT gafiating!!!!), I'm getting in deeper. I'm turning my energies toward writing and illustrating. To prove this, I will have art in Mahko Root II, Warped Space, Side-Trekked, Fesarius, I will, hopefully, be contributing to Time Warp and Amy's prereform zine, plus others. So you haven't seen the last of me yet! And if you happen to see something of mine that make you happy, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Artists, with a few acceptions [sic], are the most neglected people in fandom when it comes to LoCs.

I think I'm going to start running into my picture so I have to close with this reminder to check into Delphian Chronicles, if you like the universes of Theresa Holmes.
