Lady Aeryn is a Star Wars and Harry Potter fan and fanfiction author. She has been active in fandom since 1999.

She was initially known as Alderaan21 in Star Wars fandom and was active on TheForce.Net's Jedi Council forums. She runs the fansite The Moons of Iego. Previously, she also ran the Moons of Iego offshoot Of Knights and Maidens, as well as the site Snips & Skyguy and the fanlisting Time Cannot Erase, and was part of the editorial team for SagaJournal.[1] In September 2004, she took over the fanlistings Across the Stars and Cloaked in Darkness from Leonie.[2]

In Harry Potter fandom, Aeryn was a moderator at the Pumpkin Pie Archive Yahoo! group and worked on The Pumpkin Patch. She was owner of the fansites Just As Sane As I Am (Harry/Luna), Crossing the Line Undrawn (Harry/Hermione), and Stronger Together (Harry/Ron/Hermione friendship).

Fannish History

In an early 2000s interview with Silvermoon, Lady Aeryn discussed her fandom beginnings:

Why did you choose your pen name?

I got tired of my old Star Wars pen name (and I'd gone through a lot I didn't much like) and so just picked the name of the female lead of my favorite TV series (Farscape) because I liked the look of the name, and stuck 'Lady' on the front to differentiate from the other Aeryns out there.

When did you start writing fanfiction?
Mid to late 1999; I dabbled in some Star Wars fiction which with the exception of a couple of iffy poems remains unpublished to this day. After Episode I came out I went on a sudden writing binge, and almost every SW fic I've done since then has been prequel-related, and to Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in particular. A few months ago I got into Harry Potter fanfiction, and am writing several stories for that series as well, a couple of which are published.
