Reactions and Reviews: Issue 1

Jane Mailander's The Family Dog is a Winston story with teeth! It was nominated for a 1999 Fan-Q! Also, Christy Hayes' Spirit Lake is a good suspenseful story involving all four guys.

Verdict: highly recommended. Most of the stories are well balanced and quite entertaining. [1]

Reactions and Reviews: Issue 2

Sheila Paulson's Yonder Walks the Ghost of My Father was inspired by Hamlet and darker than the usual Paulson story; this is one of the darkest and most mature stories I've seen from this author. An Le's Play Ball is a cute bit of silliness.

Verdict: not as much to my taste as JTFOU1, but still worth the time. [2]

Reactions and Reviews: Issue 3

An Le's The Road deals with the reality of the RGB and EGB realities, with two superb illustrations by PrincessArtemis. A Snowball's Chance by Emilie Karr is also very good; Peter shows off his jerry-rigging abilities and the interplay with Winston and Egon is quite in character.

Verdict: taken as a whole, the zine is more hurt/comfort than I enjoy, but the stories are excellent. [3]
