Jennifer "JJ" Jareau is a character on Criminal Minds.
Canon
Within cannon, JJ starts on the Criminal Minds team as the media liaison before eventually transitioning to work as a profiler over the course of seasons six and seven. She meets William "Will" LaMontagne, Jr., who at the time is working as a police detective in New Orleans, while working a case together and they secretly begin a romantic relationship. Eventually, the two publicize their relationship, and Will moves to be with JJ. Together, they have two children - Henry and Michael.
During the first and final seasons of the show, JJ's romantic feelings towards fellow team member Spencer Reid are briefly touched on but are never acted upon. It is a not uncommon fandom practice to ignore those scenes entirely unless specifically shipping those two characters.
