IBG Inc. was an a registered US-American 501[c] corporation charity effort founded by several Gillian Anderson fans in 2008. In the beginning the three letters in the name stood for Inspired By Gillian, later the name was changed to Inspire - Believe - Give after the focus changed from supporting Gillian Anderson and X-Files fandom supported charities to other, non X-Files fandom endeavors.

IBG, Inc. became defunct sometime around March 2013. Former staff member Elizabeth De Razzo moved on to work for Legendary Women, Inc., an organization devoted to promoting the empowerment of women*, both in the media and in their everyday lives and endeavors.

About

IBG Inc is an official non-profit campaign focusing on utilizing the power of philanthropy through the arts to benefit a wide range of microfunded charities worldwide. We function as a fundraising facilitator for selected charities by holding special events and auctions, as well as generating merchandise sales and promoting online giving. IBG provides the venue, the advertising and arranges for talent involvement for organizations that would otherwise struggle with the logistics and costs associated with event fundraising. Donors can be confident that their funds are getting to the people who need them the most. All events will solely benefit charity. Please join us in this endeavor.

History

IBG began as an idea on the back of a diner napkin in the wee hours of a night in the late summer of 2008 when five friends, inspired by the tireless charity work of actress Gillian Anderson [though not affiliated with her], got together to make a difference. Since that day, IBG, Inc. has established an official tax-exempt non-profit campaign and we have had the pleasure of hosting events to benefit a number of charities across the globe, including NF, Inc., UNICEF, SA-YES, UCLA-Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center, Kids Defense Team, American Cancer Society, and many more.

IBG Charity Conversation Series

This series brought together fans and some of the most successful producers, directors, writers and actors working today. The one hour Los Angeles-based event consists of both moderated discussion and open floor questions. In an effort to promote discussion and create a unique atmosphere for our guests, a limited number of tickets will be made available for each event [advanced tickets will be made available through the "Friends of IBG" program]. Proceeds from each session will be donated to a charity chosen by the participating speaker.

Fans in attendance received a special opportunity to gather around a large table and munch on a light lunch while Allison and Kelly engaged in an open, funny and honest dialogue with each other. July 2011: A Conversation with Gillian Anderson & David Duchovny ft. Special Guest Chris Carter

On Saturday, 30 July 2011, IBG gathered in Beverly Hills for a special, extended version of our ongoing Conversation Series, featuring former The X-Files co-stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny, along with special guest, creator of The X-Files Chris Carter, to raise money for SA-YES. Unlike other Conversation Series events, this time there was no moderator - instead, Gillian and David asked each other questions, and engaged in a real conversation that was both hilarious and poignant. They were later joined by Chris Carter, and the three chatted and answered questions from the audience. After the main portion, VIP ticket holders had the opportunity to partake in an autograph session with Gillian and Chris, and those who purchased separate photo tickets received one-on-one posed photos with Gillian Anderson!! There were also meet-and-greets prior to the event, and two lucky raffle winners also received the opportunity to head backstage for their own brief meeting with Gillian and David. Inspired by the creative opportunities to raise money for SA-YES, Gillian surprised those awaiting their one-on-one photos with her by ducking into the room and auctioning off the paper she'd printed her questions for David on, offering to sign it and personalize the message!! Over 32,000 USD has been raised from this event thus far, with upcoming auctions of signed memorabilia to come. The event was also released on DVD, all proceeds went also to SA-YES
